What we offer.

  • Care and experience.

You're in good hands. New Zealand has exceptional sheep health status and export capacity. We are a registered exporter with the Ministry for Primary Industries and have the care and experience to transfer embryos.

  • High quality progeny.

Kakepuku Valais progeny have very well marked hocks and knees as well as the signature beautiful Valais face markings.

  • Embryo transfer.

We can ship our embryos domestically, internationally, or wherever live export is permitted.

We also offer pregnant surrogate ewes carrying purebred Swiss Valais. We can send these where export Overseas Market Access Requirements (OMAR) exist.

We have top embryos and special deals as part of our USA breeding season offering.

‘A grade’ embryos are periodically available from Rolleston Veterinary Reproductive Services in Maine, USA. Get in touch to find out more.

Embryo transfer process.

Embryo transfer is the process by which fertilized embryos are flushed (removed) from a donor ewe and then transplanted into suitably synchronized recipient ewes to establish a surrogate pregnancy.

Richard is a veterinarian with 40 years’ experience. He now specialises in animal breeding using embryo transfer and is passionate about offering his quality stock and genetics to the world.
